Due to increase cost/duplication, Receipts will NOT be mailed unless request is written on returned tax bill or by enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please use top of tax bill &/or cancelled check as your tax receipt.
Please mail your payment or place them in an envelope and put it in the NEW DROP BOX OR SLOT IN THE DOOR AT THE CARLTON TOWNSHIP HALL.
Check or Cash payments need to be exact amounts only. (No credit card payments available in the office)
Credit Card payments: Credit card payments can be processed at carltontownship.org including a 3% processing fee.
Mailing Taxes: If you are mailing your taxes, please mail Early as Postmarks are NOT accepted as date paid.
OFFICE HOURS: I will be in the office most Monday’s, December (2025) 1, 8, 22, (10:00-2:00),
December 29, 2025, (9:00 – 5:00) Jan (2026) 5, 12, 26, (10:00-2:00) February (2026) 2,9,16 (10:00-2:00).
Property Tax due date: Monday, February 16, 2025 last day to pay property taxes without the possibility of incurring interest or penalty.
Monday March 2, 2026 is the final day to pay 2025 Winter taxes before they become Delinquent and sent to Barry County. I will be in the office from 9:00 – 5:00 (excluding 12:00-1:00 lunch hour).
Tax Notes: If your taxes are paid thru escrow make sure there is a number after MORT CODE below the perforated line on your tax bill. If no number is listed your mortgage company has not requested the bill be sent to them. Contact your escrow company and have them send the request to our office.
Check your bill and make sure the parcel #, name, address, and PRE (Homestead) information is correct. If any of this information is incorrect please contact our office (269-945-5990 ext. 2)
