MAY ELECTION – Lakewood Public Schools

The Carlton Township Clerk’s office is open on Wednesdays, 10 am – 12 pm, and by appointment, and will be open additional election hours on Saturday, May 3, 2025, 8 am – 4 pm.

Polls will be open 7 am – 8 pm on Election Day Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Carlton Township Hall

Carlton Township Treasurer’s Office 2024 Winter Hours

2024 Changes: The Treasurer’s Office hours starting December 2, 2024 have changed to Monday’s (not Wednesday). Due to increase cost/duplication, Receipts will NOT be mailed unless request is written on returned tax bill or by enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please use top of tax bill &/or cancelled check as your tax receipt.

Please mail your payment or place them in an envelope and put it in the DROP SLOT in the front door (available 24 hours/7 days a week) at the Carlton Township Hall.

Check or cash payments need to be exact amounts only. Credit card payments can be processed at carltontownship.org including a 3% processing fee. If you are mailing your taxes, please mail early as Postmarks are NOT accepted as date paid.

OFFICE HOURS: I will be in the office most Monday’s, Dec 2, 9, 16, 30, (9:30-2:00) Jan (2025) 6, 13, 20, 27 (9:30-2:00) February (2025) 3 (Mon), 14 (Fri) (9:30-2:00), FRIDAY February 14, 2025 is the final day to pay Winter taxes without interest or penalty.

On Friday February 28, 2025 the last day to pay 2024 property taxes before they returned as delinquent. I will be in the office from 9:00 – 5:00 (excluding 12:00-1:00 lunch hour)

Tax Notes: If your taxes are paid thru escrow make sure there is a number after MORT CODE below the perforated line on your tax bill. If no number is listed your mortgage company has not requested the bill be sent to them. Contact your escrow company and have them send the request to our office.

Check your bill and make sure the parcel #, name, address, and PRE (Homestead) information is correct. If any of this information is incorrect please contact our office (269-945-5990 ext. 2)
